Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will visit India this month as Kyiv seeks allies for its peace initiative, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing to people familiar with the matter.
The Ukranian foreign minister is set to hold wide-ranging talks with his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar besides meeting a number of senior officials as reported by news agency PTI . Apart from talks with Indian officials, Kuleba is also set to "review the India-Ukraine inter-governmental commission", one of the officials told Bloomberg, referring to a panel charged with keeping up the two nations' economic, cultural and technological ties.
Ukraine has also pitched for New Delhi to help rebuild its war-ravaged economy, inviting investment from Indian companies at a January business summit in India.
Kuleba's visit will come about two weeks after Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukraine president's office, spoke to National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on March 15.
In New Delhi, Kuleba and Jaishankar are expected to co-chair a meeting of the India-Ukraine inter-governmental commission, the people cited above said.
