A street-side ice-cream seller in Telangana has been arrested after he was found mixing semen with falooda. The incident came to light after the man, identified as Kaluram Kurbia, was caught on camera masturbating and mixing his semen with the ice-cream dessert

After the video -- reportedly filmed outside the Ambedkar Centre in Nekkonda -- went viral on social media, food safety officials and the police traced Kurbia and arrested him. The man, who hails from Rajasthan, is currently being interrogated, India Today reported.

The authorities also conducted raids on the ice-cream facility and detained several people involved in producing and selling these contaminated ice-creams, the Nekkonda police announced on X. Cases have also been filed against them.

Meanwhile, the police have issued warnings to vendors selling falooda and ice-cream in carts along roadsides and emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness in every aspect of food preparation. They have also been warned of stringent action if they fail to comply.

On social media, users have reacted with shock and disgust at the revelation.

"Most of the roadside eateries have the same hygiene. As they know there is no check from authorities. Our agencies are ultra useless," said one user on X. Another user commented, "My only question is WHY? Hate for customers or something else. The judge should ask him for a reason before giving the harshest punishment. Food adulteration beyond imagination."

A few others wrote that the video has made them lose faith in most street-side eateries.

"Heard few years back that panipuri sellers mix urine to get better taste. I never believed it but seeing something like this I have no words," commented a third user on X.
